William "Bill" Howarth joined Golden Wealth Capital in 2025. Prior to this, he served as a Senior Corporate Credit Strategist at Smith Affiliated Capital (SAC). During his time at SAC, Bill conducted in-depth fundamental research on companies and sectors, providing strategic investment recommendations tailored to the needs of SAC’s institutional and high-net-worth clients.
Before his tenure at SAC, Mr. Howarth served as Vice President of Fixed Income Portfolio Management and a member of the investment committee at Eaton Vance/Fox Asset Management. He developed and managed wrap account models for Eaton Vance/Parametric Associates, which grew to over $400 million in assets under management. Over a 10-year career, he also served as the Senior Utility, Telecom, and Industrial Analyst for the equity strategy.
Earlier in his career, Bill was a Senior Portfolio Manager of Taxable Fixed Income and a Corporate Sector Specialist at The Dreyfus Corporation. During his 13 years at Dreyfus, he focused on corporate bonds, where he was responsible for issue selection, credit research, sector allocation, and rotation. Bill also specialized in cross-over credits, high-yield, preferred, and convertible securities. He was part of a team managing over $10 billion in client assets and was honored with the Lipper Award for Top Performance
Bill earned a B.S. from the University of Scranton and an MBA in Management Information Systems from St. Peters College.
